The Habitat for Humanity ReStore

February 16, 2016 Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google+ stories

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore sells donated new and used building materials, furniture, appliances and other goods at bargain prices. It is open to the public.   The proceeds from the ReStore go towards Habitat for Humanity NL Builds, a project which aims to make home ownership accessible for lower-income families in Newfoundland and Labrador. Habitat for Humanity Homes are built by volunteers and sold to partner families at fair market value with a no-interest  mortgage.   As downpayment, partner families contribute 500 volunteer hours in sweat equity on their home, the homes of others, at the ReStore, or other community good.
