Youth who work for the Shop learn every aspect of the work, they earn leadership experience, and once they find their niche, they can further develop their skills, in order to build a career for life. and, they benefit from all the support that Choices for Youth have to offer.

economic benefits of local production

The Shop fills a gap in the production economy in Newfoundland and Labrador so that local businesses do not need to send away for production work. The work stays here on the island, keeping costs down for businesses, lowering their carbon footprint, and helping youth in the province thrive.

The Shop is one of the three social enterprises of Choices for Youth. the social enterprises employ youth who have barriers to finding sustainable work with the goal of helping them learn new skills so that they can obtain meaningful employment, or pursue post-secondary education.
